Included with your tracking device are the device’s embedded SIM card, an easy-attach silicone case, a USB-C charging cable, a lanyard, and a set up instruction guide.
How do I secure the device to my dog? What size collar works?
Included in your purchase is an secure silicone case with loops to easily attach the device to your dog’s favorite collar or harness.
The case fits collars, harnesses or leashes that are between 1 and 1 ¼" wide.
How long does the battery last?
While other trackers last just a few days, Greenlight’s tracker has a powerful 750mAh rechargeable battery: on a single charge, the battery can last between 2 and 4 weeks depending on the location update setting (every 5 or 10 minutes), and on environmental conditions including cellular network coverage.
How frequently does the location update?
Control the frequency of your device’s locations updates within your application:
- Pet Mode: Tracks location only when footsteps are detected and won’t track pets in vehicles. Best for pets wearing the device at all times.
- Emergency mode: Provides location updates every 60 seconds for 60 minutes after Emergency mode has been activated. After 60 minutes, Emergency mode reverts to Standard mode to preserve battery. Emergency mode is also enabled when the device’s SOS mode is triggered with a tap of its button.
- Standard mode: The device’s default tracking mode. Provides a location update every 5 minutes if a location change is detected.
- Eco mode: Provides a location update every 10 minutes if a location change is detected.
How accurate is the location? Can it track near and far?
Greenlight’s tracker uses advanced Hybrid Location Technology, combining Wifi, IoT Mobile Networks, and GPS satellites to deliver global location precision. That means stronger network coverage, no matter the distance between your phone and the device, even in areas of poor cell signal.
Outdoor GPS (Global Positioning system) range is accurate within 3-5 meters/ 10-16 feet.
Indoor WPS (Wi-Fi Positioning System) range is accurate within 10-30 meters / 33-98 feet.
Should GPS and WPS fail, our Cell Tower Triangulation is accurate with 100-250 meters / 328 to 820 feet.

Greenlight Safe Family Devices are supported in 120+ countries worldwide.
Why is the subscription required?
To leverage the Greenlight Safe Pets device's precise location tracking, place alerts, SOS alerts, and more, your device requires a monthly subscription data plan, which may be cancelled at any time.
For new customers just using the Greenlight Safe Pets device, the monthly subscription is $5.99/month per device.
For device holders with an existing Greenlight plan, the monthly subscription is $4.99/month per device.
